Injection units for all-electric injection moulding machines

The logical consequence of the demand for energy efficiency and reduced noise has to led to the development of all-electric injection moulding machines. In this case, the achievement of short cycle times with high injection speeds and forces is of paramount importance.

Linear unit

In order to achieve similar power density as with hydraulic systems, our system
makes use of an 4- to 8-fold engagement at the toothed racks, which have maximum load carrying capacity and force compensation due to the double helical gearing. Water-cooled three-phase servo motors with a 2- or 4-fold arrangement have a reduced mass moment of inertia whilst guaranteeing an extremely dynamic drive.

Plasticizing unit

The plasticizing unit for driving the worm gear is connected directly to the injection unit. For this purpose, we utilise the proven plasticizing gears of the FZ 81.3 - FZ 901.3 series, which are flange-mounted directly to the injection gear. The motor from the modular MA series is also water-cooled; other motor types via IEC flanges are available.
