Model Range VG 05 - VG 4000

The current demand to produce high-quality steels and implement quality improvements results in an increasing need for high capacity levellers. Continuous levelling takes place with a number of levelling rollers which rotate in opposite directions and flatten the material through a set of hydraulic cylinders.

KNÖDLER has developed various spur distributor gears to drive the levelling rollers which meet the increasing demands for speed and torque. The levelling rollers can be driven by up to 21 shafts which ensure uniform and low-noise operation.

VG-FZ and VG-KS gear units designed as more shaft gears

Main applications: in the same direction or in the opposite direction rotating shafts for extruding or changing screws. The shaft distances are realized according to customer specifications.

Characteristics:
● Opposite direction rotating output shafts with adapters to drop shafts.
● Drive either with single motors or two input shafts, to cascade several gear units.

The differential gear as a planetary differential offers the possibility, to drive two shafts with different driving speeds independent and slip-free.
